After graduating from Winchester School of Art in 1994 I worked as a textile designer for a number of years before qualifying as a teacher. After years of inspiring creativity in the classroom, I rediscovered my textile roots and now explore my own work combining felt and print.
My work is evolving and I love exploring colour and texture inspired by the landscapes and coasts around my home in Yorkshire.
I am fully insured through my membership of 'a-n' and the 'International Felt Makers Association'.
Textile Artist and Art Tutor
2015 - present
I work as a textile artist producing felt pieces for exhibitions and galleries, as well as running a number of felt workshops at various locations throughout North Yorkshire.
I also teach art classes/courses, including drawing, pastel and painting through a selection of venues including 'Season Art Classes' and 'Creative Workshops Yorkshire'.
Teacher and Art Coordinator

I was very lucky to work in a fabulous school that promoted and supported the arts. As art coordinator I worked on a variety of projects in school and the local community. This included the Titanic commemorative event at the Royal Hall, 'HARTS in Art' Harlow Carr celebration days, as well as achieving the Arts Mark Gold twice..

which gave me great opportunities to design and travel.
Freelance Surface Designer
I worked as a freelance textile designer creating various designs of printed patterns from wallpaper, wrapping paper to curtains.
